Easter in Appleton

We spent Easter weekend at my parents in Appleton.  Steve had to travel to the Final Four so I packed us all up and headed North for a few days.  It was really nice to be home. We haven't been for so long that I truly can't recall the last time we spent more than 1 night there.

My mom has been cleaning out the attic and has organized all of our old toys!  The He-Man and Starwars figures are Braden's favorite, although I did get him to dress up Ken while I brushed Barbie's hair! :)  Olivia loves the old Little People School we have with the bell that rings and the outdoor playground set.  We even had the Sesame Street Little People.  I had just as much fun as they did looking through everything.  I am a purger... I don't like clutter so I tend to do a lot of donating to Salvation Army.  This made me want a big storage unit so that I could keep the toys we currently have for grandkids someday.  Maybe our next house will have one. :)

We died eggs because even with the best of intentions I just couldn't get it done at home.  As you can see above, Olivia didn't think that the little metal dip stick was worth the effort.  Why not just use your hands?

Braden worked hard on a few half and half color combinations!  He is really concentrating here - note the tongue out. :)

My mom's Easter tradition for us growing up was to always make a bunny cake.  This year the kids helped.  This child manages to get everything she eats all over her face - no fail!

Norah didn't miss the action either.  We went to Breakfast with the Bunny at the Children's Museum and she was a trooper the entire time we were there.  She just hung out in the Bjorn (her favorite!) and watched all the action.

It was a great Easter and it's not done yet.  Tomorrow we will head up to Darrell and Judy's for yet another celebration.  Thanks Mom and Pa for all the love, attention, patience and for welcoming my rambunctious bunch into your home. :)
