Organizing BUG

Trying to get into a routine this summer with the mindset that I am now a SAHM (stay-at-home-mom) has been harder than I thought it would be.  I (surprise, surprise) have high expectations for myself and what I will/can accomplish, how things will go, what it will be like etc.  It's that perfectionist in me and while I'm much more relaxed than I used to be - I still have a long way to go. ;)

For over a year now I have wanted to organize the kid clothes in our attic. They started out organized when we moved in and then as we've added Olivia's to the mix and then Norah - they've just gotten out of control.   Now enters... the organizing bug! :)

I purchased 22 bins (and used about 4 that I previously had full) and went through each item of clothing that we own.  There are bins for GIRL 0-3 month summer, GIRL 0-3 month winter and BOY 0-3 month.  It's a little obsessive but I LOVE it!  It's beautiful up there I must say and now if I need anything at all - or when I am putting clothes away that are too small I know exactly where they go.  No more tossing them into a laundry basket and then just setting them in the attic for "later."

Hmmmm what project to take on next???

I did this recently with all of our stuff in the basement. We have rows of bins stacked three high...all my teaching stuff...baby stuff. etc. Feels so good!

I love that! I may be borrowing a few of those BOYS bins in the near future. I wish the projects were getting done around my house like that.
