Well - I'm definitely not done but we've made some headway. I went to the local decorating store and she talked me into a different color pink but it's much the same idea - VERY light pink. I came home and taped for what felt like forever and then painted the bottom of the room. 2 coats later it looks great!
Olivia reluctantly fell asleep in our bed last night while I was painting. Before we went to bed Steve carried her in. We shut windows but kept her ceiling fan on. I woke up to her fussing at around 3:30 and went in to check on her. It smelled like paint and I felt sooooo guilty. I turned the fan off because she was freezing (why I think she woke) and opened her door. Then I couldn't sleep wondering if I was poisoning my daughter. Ugh - my mind never quits.
The goal for today is to get the pink painted. I am going to need to pick up more paint and am going to try out one of those edgers so I don't have to tape the ceiling. I'll let you know how it goes.
The decorator also suggested painting her bookshelf (the built-in one) green from the bottom wall and then putting light pink polka dots inside. I think it'd be darling so I may attempt it. We'll see. I've never been very good with painting. I must not have a steady hand or something.
