Do You See What I See?

Look closely... Do you see what I see?

LOOK AGAIN...

Yes, I'm sure you can now see the PEN that my son took to my upholstered rocker during what should have been his nap time.

MY CHILDREN ARE DESTROYING MY HOUSE!

UPDATE:
Steve and I talked after this incident today and were trying to think the "Love and Logic" way about what his punishment should be.  We decided not to cancel the plans he had tonight as they had nothing to do with him drawing on the chair and that he would have to help me figure out how to remove the ink as well as come up with something else to, "make it up to mommy."

When he and Steve came home from their dinner he walked in with tears in his eyes and told me how sorry he was and that he had gotten me a chocolate heart because he loved me so much.  OKAY - melt my heart.  We then spent a little bit cleaning the ink off with rubbing alcohol (which worked) and the incident is behind us.

I didn't think house destruction was supposed to start until the teenage years!

Try hairspray. It gets pen out of our things at work! Just remember, it's still better than Era all over the basement and the dog! :) You could just declaw him!!! :)

Hmmm...maybe no pens for a while or no pens anywhere but at the table? That fits. Once Lena wrote with her crayons on the family room wall (baking soda paste took that off) and then I took her crayons for the moment(the rest of that day) and the next day she got them back but with restrictions on where she could use them. She also helped me clean the wall. It never happened again.

I concur about the hairspray.
