Dr. Pikna just called to update me on her blood tests. They aren't all back as we had suspected but what did come back is all positive!
She's not anemic which he said is typically low for someone who has had a long time injury or what not.
Her blood counts are good - biggest relief.
Her levels (of what I'm not sure) that usually indicate arthritis are normal - go figure.
Which leaves us with two tests...
Lymes and Lupus
The results should come in tomorrow and we'll hear about them on Friday.
I asked about the Lymes and compared it to two friends whose children have had it and it has manifested itself as more of an illness and he said that is typical but it CAN be just joint pain/inflamation.
So I ended our conversation feeling hopeful and geared up to wait for two more days. We may have a mystery on our hands or the last two tests may lead us down another path. He is by no means ruling out the juvenile arthritis but is puzzled by the levels that came back normal.
So we wait... patiently... and a little more hopeful than before. :)
