Steve and I recently read the book 1-2-3 Magic and initiated it with the kids on Sunday night. We took a Love and Logic class when Braden was little and use parts of that methodology but we like how black and white the 1-2-3 Magic is so we were hopeful this would bring some more order to our chaos!! :)
It's been going really well - helping to remove unneeded talking (or lecturing) from us and also helping to remove the emotion from the behavior management. It's been a good move overall thus far.
Well - Braden just made my whole day!!! It's not perfect by any means but here is how the last 5 minutes went.
Braden was playing with Magnus in a way we don't like (making him bark) so I said ,"Braden, that's 1." He stopped. A few minutes later he lunged at Magnus (although didn't do anything to him) and he looked at me and said, "I know, that's 2."
I just smiled and told him I loved him!!!

Woo Hoo! If you weren't pregnant with your third little miracle I would say Cheers and encourage you to end your day with a glass of wine! So instead! Cheers - and go have one of those yummy brownies!
I'm glad it is going so well. I might have to dig mine out and dust it off! Did someone say brownies???
